A press meet was arranged by producer Aditya Babu to announce the title of his latest production, to be directed by Sukumar, of Arya fame, and starring Ram, of Devadasu fame, in the lead role. The film, a second for both Sukumar and Ram, has been titled as Jagadam. Aditya Babu, Sukumar, Ram, Ratnavelu(cinematographer), Vijay and Prakash attended the press meet on the sets of a specially erected bhoot bungalow, were the shooting was presently taking place.
“Both Sukumar and Ram have given silver jubilee films. I am happy to have them in my film.” Producer Aditya Babu said “you will see a totally different Ram in the film. Sukumar has spent a lot of time on the script to make it to perfection. This bhoot bungalow set was essential for the subject. Except for four songs we have completed almost the entire shooting of the film. Devi Sri Prasad has composed some amazing tunes. The audio will be released on New Year’s Day and the film on 25th January”.
Praising cinematographer Ratnavelu’s work in the film, hero Ram said “He (Ratnavelu) will definitely get an award for the Jagadam. Sukumar like Y.V.S.Choudary is a perfectionist and so is producer Aditya. Aditya is also a close friend of mine. Isha (heroine of Jagadam) is a professional and a very committed actress.
Cinematographer Ratnavelu, who also handled the camera work for Arya, also spoke on the occasion “I am basically doing this film because of the script. The characters are very intense and will have an impact on the audiences’”.
“Ram, Aditya and Ratnavelu are the heroes of the film.” Director Sukumar said “I would like to thank Ratnavelu, who waited for nearly a year and a half for this film. And also Devi Sri Prasad who, at first attempt, gave some amazing tunes. The film’s sets are another high light of the film”.
