After the breezy entertainer ‘Ashta Chemma’ Award winning director Indraganti Mohana Krishna is coming up with another wholesome entertainer in the form of “Golkonda High School”. This time the movie is on a grander scale and has a greater purpose.
The movie, while emphasizing the importance of sports in our lives, absorbingly chronicles the journey of a bunch of spirited kids to their personal and collective glory under the tutelage of a determined cricket coach.
The movie is based on the best selling book 'The Men Within' written by Harimohan Paruvu.
Sumanth plays the Cricket coach in this movie. While the sprightly Swathi who stole numerous hearts in 'Ashta Chemma' essays the role of an English teacher.
At the recent music launch, Sumanth confessed that he is a die-hard cricket fan next only to popular Film Star Venkatesh. And the role in “Golkonda High School” is indeed one to die for. He feels this is the best movie after the Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Godavari’ movie in his career.
The Song ‘Jaago Re’ has become instantly popular and is set to become a chart buster. ‘Golkonda High School’ in spirit is comparable to the likes of Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Chak De India'.
Rammohan P. is producing this movie. The supporting cast includes Tanikella Bharani, Subbaraju, Shafi, Ravi Prakash, Jhansi and Hema. Golconda High School has cinematography by Senthil Kumar, music by Kalyani Malik, lyrics by Sirivennela, art by Ravinder and editing by Shravan.
