Hi sir! Happy Holi...
Hi! Wish you the same.
How did you celebrate this Holi?
I never have the habit of celebrating Holi as I was brought up in Chennai. Besides most of the time during this festival time I’m in make-up and it will be difficult for the make-up man to remove all those sticky colors (with laughs).
After a long gap we are going to watch you in an action entertainer.
Yes this is my action entertainer which was shaped up in Meher's style. I had been continuously doing sentimental characters wherein I got some relaxation with 'Shadow'. This is a good opportunity to prove myself as an action hero. But the audience should not expect full-fledged action scenes.
How is your role shaped in 'Shadow'?
I have two shades in my character i.e., a common man and powerful young man who strives for his family and society.
Tell us about the music of Thaman.
Thaman is an awesome musician where I like catchy tunes of 'Naughty Girl' and title song. We are happy that our audio is attracting youth mostly.
What is your work experience with Meher Ramesh?
It's really a good experience to team up with Meher as I got the confidence with his narrating style and his dedication towards the work. I am sure that the film will bring a break in his career.
Did you consider the flops of Meher Ramesh?
I believe that success will rest on hard work and dedication and I observed those qualities in Ramesh. However, I do not consider the past as present is more valuable for me.
Tell us about your co-star Taapsee!
Taapsee is an energetic actress where she showed ease in her dancing skills in a song 'Naughty Girl'. Her beautiful looks and acting performance are highlights of the film.
How do you feel to share the screen space with Srikanth?
This is the third time I’ve teamed up with Srikanth and he is like my family member. I wish to repeat that hit sentiment again like 'Sankranthi'. Srikanth will be seen as a police officer.
What are the highlights of the film?
Entire film stands as a highlight. One of the risky shots is the bike chase which would attract the audience overall. This film is like Ugadi chutney which has all tastes in it.
There are many expectations on your high budgeted film!
This is not my high budget film. It’s a medium budget film like my other films too. We have crossed our budget line only to maintain rich production values.
How can your film overcome IPL and complete with it?
It’s not just my film; any film with a good storyline can over shadow IPL or even world war. I never agree to the point that the film will be affected due to IPL. Both have its own prominence.
What are your upcoming projects?
My next project is with Ram, which is a remake of 'Bol Bachchan'. Shooting is at brisk progress. It is a full length comedy entertainer being developed by Vijaya Bhaskar. The movie hits theatres most probably during Dussera.
