You know him as a hilarious Manoj till now, but saw a different side of him in 'Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda' when he portrayed himself as a woman. This Manchu family multi-starer comedy entertainer opened to theaters on January 31st with hit talk. On this occasion the entire film unit is in a celebration mood and we had an opportunity to ask this talented young actor about what is it like playing a female getup role. Here are few excerpts:
'Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda' is a hit. How do you feel about that?
Very very happy. I'm feeling very happy for being part of a multi-starer movie of this kind.
Who's is the inspiration for your lady getup?
I'm a great fan of Natakireeti Rajendra Prasad garu. I remember tying banners for his films. I was studying intermediate then. He is the main inspiration for me to portray the female getup.
It seems you were not considered for the role initially.
True! At the time of launch of the film, the film was planned with dad, Vishnu, Varun and Tanish only. But during the regular shooting, one fine day dad called me over phone and told that I'm doing a role in it. I instantly said Yes.
Was the female getup an initial plan? 
After the first half of the film shooting, director Srivaas got the idea of the female getup during the Bangkok schedule. Later I learnt through Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan that I've to play the female. I became very excited. It was all due to my sister Lakshmi Prasanna that the getup has come out so well. All credit goes to her.
How did your mother respond to the female getup?
She felt very happy. She saw those pics and laughed to herself.
Don't you think few characters in the film are exactly the same as in 'Golmaal 3'?
Yes. We got inspired by few characters from 'Golmaal 3'. But we did it in our own style. Similarly the entire second half is in our own style.
What is next for you?
My next film will be under Nageswara Reddy's direction. It's going to be again under Lakshmi Prasanna pictures banner. Hansika is the heroine. Regular shooting will start from February 6. I'm going to play a fresh character in this film. It's a comedy entertainer mixed with action elements. After the completion of this film, I'll be working for two more films simultaneously. While one is 'Son of Pedarayudu' under Sagar's direction on Ramesh Puppala's banner, another project is under discussion.
When are you planning your marriage?
Not so early. It may take another 2-3 years. My present focus is on films.
When can we expect another multi-starer from Manchu family?
We can't predict. We may probably do it if we come across a good story.
