Given that the first edition was a blockbuster, are you expecting 'KGF: Chapter 2' to break all records?
'KGF 1' was a magnum opus in a way and a complete labour of love and ambition. Despite several limitations staring us in the face, it was our ambition that fuelled the project. 'KGF 2' is now being made on a bigger scale. We are hoping to not only entertain our existing audience but also widen the audience base for the second edition. The agenda is to entertain our audience and keep our fans happy - if in that process, we end up breaking some kind of record, that would be an added bonus.
In what ways is the second part going to be different from the first part?
Chapter 1 was an introduction to Rocky, his personality, his world and his hunger to overcome his demons.
In the second part, you will see some different shades of Rocky that you haven't seen before. It will be a bigger action-packed and emotional ride compared to the first part.
You have got to work with senior Bollywood actors such as Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon. How was the experience?
Both Sanjay Sir and Raveena Ma'am are wonderful to work with. The former has set a great example of what grit and perseverance can get you through. He is a thorough professional and is also passionate. Raveena Ma'am has always been and is still a versatile and good actor. She is a lovely, vibrant person full of life and she brought that warmth and energy on set too.
You have been in the character of Rocky since 2016 or so. How has it been?
To be very honest, I have lived with the character of Rocky for a long while and many nuances of the character came very naturally to me. That way, preparing for the character was not needed. I will talk about the film's most challenging parts once 'KGF 2' releases in theatres.
What is the progress of the film as far as production works are concerned?
We are nearly done. We have just a day patchwork shoot left.
