Solo Bharatanatyam Performance by Divya at Nizamia Observatory Campus, Hyderabad

Hyderabad, August 11, 2018: A solo Bharatanatyam performance was performed by Divya, a 12 years old a Telugu NRI girl from Floria, USA.

She performed infront of the packed hall of 500 guests here in the city today Centre for Economic & Social Studies (CESS), Nizamia Observatory Campus, Punjagutta. It was performed in support of Pratyusha Support Foundation. 

Samantha Akkineni, Actress and Founder Pratyusha Support Foundation and Padmasri Dr. Manjula Anagani, Gynecologist among others graced the performance

Speaking on the occasion Samatha said, Divya is a brilliant dancer and I am impressed with her performance. What surprises me to know about this young 12 year old dancer Divya is though she is so young but her approach using Art and Dance form to reach out to humanity. I am also equally impressed to know about Divya’s charitable mind and her visit to Haity and extending her helping hand to them.

Disciple of Mrs Shaila Sateesh, Sarasota, Florida, USA, Divya, a 8th class student is the daughter Dr. Swaroop Muppavarapu, Anaestheologist and Smt Rajakumari Muppavarapu is using her art to reach out to humanity. She is passionate about dance and people, especially children. 

Divya, considers dance to be an outlet to express herself and a way of communication of her culture to others. She took to Bharathanatyam two years ago and since then never looked back and had given many performances.

Meenakshi Sheshadri, a veteran Bollywood Filmstar appreciated her dance performance. 

Her most memorable performance was "Tales of a lovable Thief", stories of Krishna performed at Sarasota Opera House. The show proceeds went to benefit underprivileged youth in her home town of Sarasota for the purpose of teaching them the Arts.

Divya travelled to Haiti to help at an orphanage in June this year. Haiti, a Caribbean country is considered as the poorest country in the world. Eighty percent of its f residents live in poverty. 

Divya and her family spreads love to the home country in every possible way and supports educational needs to Repalle Children's Home on a regular basis.
