Nandamuri Balakrishna at Bapu Film Festival 2014

On 15th of December marking the occasion of Bapu’s birthday, screening of films directed by late Bapu was arranged at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad. In the program which is being sponsored by Hyderabad Film Club, Bapu’s films will be screened from 15th of December to 21st of December. On this occasion, a press conference was held on the last day of Bapu Film Festival i.e. on 21st of December at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad. Relangi Narasimha Rao, Allani Sridhar, Krishna Mohan Reddy, Bhageeratha, Prakash Reddy and Satyam Srirangam and some others have participated in the meet.

Speaking at the press meet, Nandamuri Bala Krishna said, “It is really a happy thing that Hyderabad Film Club members have arranged Bapu Film Festival on the occasion of his birthday. There is a popular saying that if we want to see Telugu, Bapu is and best example and if we want to listen to Telugu, Mullapudi Venkata Ramana is the best example. Many wonderful artworks delivered from their combination. They have taken the Telugu film to the national and international levels. I adore him since my childhood. My father did Ramanjaneya Yuddham and Srinatha Kavi Sarvabhouma films. I was also supposed to do a film ‘Krishna Bhagavan’, but due to some inevitable reasons it didn’t happened. That script is still with me. Bapu’s films and scripts proves that the films will come out wonderfully only with the team work. It’s my past life’s luck to do a film under Bapu direction. ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’ remains in my heart forever with many wonderful feelings.”

On this occasion, Shankar Narayana said, “There are many good things like dedication and simplicity to learn from Bapu. I’m feeling proud of being his brother. He is a good guide. I consider myself lucky to be part of this program.”

Later, Bala Krishna has felicitated the attendees with flower bouquets.
