YFLO Event - A Go Green Initiative

Young FICCI Ladies organization, [YFLO] invited Mrs. Swathi Kantamani, Head of CSR, with Natco Trust to address the students of Sancta Maria International School and FLO/YFLO members on the "The importance of Go Green and how to save our environment".

Ashita Nawalgaria, Chairperson YFLO Hyderabad said that "The fundamental focus is to educate our future generations to be mindful and sensitive to the natural environment in our daily lives".

About YFLO:
Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO) is a youth wing of PLO. PLO was established in 1983 as a division of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). PLO is an all India forum for women, with headquarters in New Delhi and 8 chapters throughout India representing over 2000 members. Our members include entrepreneurs, CEOs, Executives, Doctors, Educationists, Designers and leaders in NG0s.

The primary objective of FLO/YFLO is to promote entrepreneurship and professional excellence in women. FLO/YFLO acts as a catalyst for the socio-economic advancement of women through talks, seminars, learning events, panel discussions and workshops.

The Chairperson's objective for the year has been "to underline events which would enhance economic development and emulate business excellence. YFLO constantly strives to encourage innovation, young entrepreneurship and leadership which act as a conduit in the transformation of the role of women into a dynamic force."

Profile of Guest Speaker - Mrs. Swathi Kantamani:

Swathi Kantamani is the Head of CSR, with Natco Trust (the CSR arm of Natco Pharma Limited). She has a Masters degree in English Literature from the Unh ersity of Oxford, and a Masters in Philosophy from The University of Hyderabad. Swathi was in the field of . publishing before she joined CSR, and was editor of childrens book and books on social sciences. She is keenly interested in education and pedagogy, and runs two schools for under-privileged children in rural areas. Under her leadership, Natco Trust won the Golden Peacock Award for Corporate Social Responsibility in the year 2012. Swathi is an avid reader, and she says she is currently essaying the role of 'paranoid mom.
