Maniratnam has commenced the pre-production work of his upcoming film. This one has a huge starcast and is based on an epic novel. It has Amitabh Bachchan, Mohan Babu, Karthi and Jayam Ravi in it. The film is based on an epic novel.
It was announced that Lyca Productions will be producing this film. They has produced Maniratnam's earlier film Nawab.
It seems the production house has now backed off. Lyca Productions don't seem to be interested in this film anymore. Also they are interested in Shankar's Bharateeyudu 2.
Looks like Maniratnam will have to look out for some new producers. The cost involved here is high as this film need huge sets and VFX.
