National award winner Dhanush (superstar Rajnikanth’s son-in-law) made a successful entry in Bollywood with ‘Raanjhana’ and now currently doing R Balki’s untitled film. This film also marks the acting debut of Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter Akshara Haasan. Amitaab Bachchan is playing a key role in this film. After a month long Goa schedule, the unit moved to Nilgiris, the beautiful hilly terrains of Tamil Nadu where shooting is taking place at the moment.
The 71 year old, who had already worked with R Balki in two critically acclaimed films – ‘Cheeni Kum’ and ‘Paa’ is working with him for the third time. But this is the first time the veteran actor is sharing his screen space with the lead pair Dhanush-Akshara and amazed by their simplicity and discipline on sets. So he quickly shared the same in his blog.
“Dhanush and Akshara my colleagues, combine with me each day, with their own sensibilities and performance and the much recognised discipline of the South. There is great appreciation in my mind for them, and as we trundle along day after day, we come to know each other somewhat intensely, and particularly. More particularly!”
He further added, “Playfully we shout and scream at the unit, joke and indulge in light hearted banter. I crib almost every minute, abstractly of course, with crew and Balki. But no matter what the circumstances be, we all work towards completion and in the spirit of giving the best that we can.”
