'Vidudala Part-1' is set to hit the cinemas on April 15 through Allu Aravind's Geetha Film Distribution. Its screening to the media on Tuesday was successful. Post the screening, director Vetrimaaran, Allu Aravind, producer Elred Kumar, actor Soori, and heroine Bhavani Sre interacted with the media.
Speaking on the occasion, producer Elred Kumar said that the movie is concept-driven. "Allu Aravind watched it in Tamil and appreciated it a lot. I thank him for bringing it to the Telugu audience. I thank director Vetrimaaran for giving me such a wonderful movie. Actor Soori really worked very hard," he said, adding that heroine Bhavani excelled in the role of a village belle.
Bhavani Sre thanked Allu Aravind for presenting the Tamil movie's Telugu version. "Vetrimaaran etched a nice character for me. It was a very good experience to work with people like Soori and Vijay Sethupathi. The Telugu audience always love well-made and content movies. Please watch our movie only in theatres," she added.
Soori thanked Allu Aravind and also urged the audience to support 'Vidudala'.
Director Vetrimaaran revealed that Allu Aravind was bowled over by the content of his movie and called him at 2 am. "He asked me about the plans to release
'Viduthalai' in Telugu. He proposed to release it in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. We thought that we will finish this film as a small project in 30 to 35 days with a budget of Rs 4 Cr. But we shot it for more than a hundred working days with three times the estimated cost," the director of films like 'Asuran' revealed.
Producer Allu Aravind remarked that local is global. "After watching this movie, I connected with the emotional content of the climax. I like Vetrimaaran's treatment. I like not only his directorials but also films in which he is involved. The media should take 'Vidudala' to the people. If a film is rooted, people are surely going to love it," the Geetha Arts supremo opined.
