The postponement of big-ticket movies has always been inevitable in Telugu cinema. But even the biggest pessimists out there didn't see this coming: 'Devara' stands postponed and it won't be heading to theatres on April 5. The official word is not yet out, though.
Jr NTR's movie is said to be planning an August release. In all likelihood, it might not be released even in August. It should be out weeks after Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2' (August 15th release).
The news has come as a huge stroke of disappointment for Tarak's fans. Director Koratala Siva and team are said to be reworking their VFX strategy. If this is the reason, it is quite unexpected. In an interview just a few weeks ago, producer Nandamuri Kalyanram said that the film's VFX was planned thoroughly in the pre-production stage itself. With extensive Pre-Viz and all, there shouldn't have been a delay, ideally. But ideal scenarios never play out in Tollywood.
In 2022, 'Devara' went on the floors with too much delay after the failure of Koratala Siva's 'Acharya' at the box office.
