His estimated net worth is said to be around Rs 100 Cr. It was in 1987 that he made a debut as a brewery owner in Sikkim. He has since expanded his business in Odisha, Assam, and a few other NE States. His early business moves are said to be the reason why Vijay Mallya's popular alcohol company was prevented from entering the States in the North-East. "His Yuksom Breweries is the third-largest beer company in India, contributing around Rs 100 Cr to the northeastern region's economy every year," a recent report by DNA stated.
