Enai Noki Paayum Thota (Tamil) was released in 2019. Gautham Vasudev Menon was its director. During the making of the movie, there were rumours that the filmmaker had a fallout with his hero, Dhanush.
Rumours emerged that the director moved on to his next film by leaving Dhanush's movie midway. "There were reports that the director did not shoot the film as per his plan, which irked Dhanush. There were remuneration issues too, because of which the actor is refusing to complete the film," an India Today report in 2018 stated.
In his latest interview, Gautham Menon's reaction when the interviewer asked him about the film validates the rumour. When the interviewer invoked the title, the Ye Maya Chesave maker said that he doesn't remember doing the film and that he remembers only one song from it.
Dhanush, it is rumoured, imposed his will on the project after the filming began. A box office flop, it mostly received negative reviews. No wonder that the acclaimed director has disowned it after more than five years.
Dhanush was recently in the news over a fallout with actress Nayanthara, who accused him of being mean for using on-set footage for her Netflix documentary and claiming damages to the tune of Rs 10 Cr.
