Ever since she made her acting debut in Telugu with ‘Ye Maya Chesave’, Samantha is riding high with continuous success until her just released ‘Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’. It looks like there is no stopping Samantha enjoying her stardom status as one of the most attracted and talented actresses in this generation. Check out what she has to say about her recently released ‘Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’.
About the movie ‘Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’, Samantha said, “Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is a well crafted family entertainer that has great direction by Srikanth Addala and high production values by Dil Raju. Regardless of routine action flicks, they have hold on to the script despite casting big stars like Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu. That shows their intention to provide a good movie to theaudience.”
Samantha explained how she picked this film. She said, “After listening to Srikanth’s story narration for 5 minutes, I was very impressed with it and decided to do the film. One of the touching scenes in the film is the Seetaramula Kalyanam scene at Bhadrachalam. Prakash Raj’s emotions have made me think that I want to be part of one such family.”
About working with Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh she revealed, “I’ve felt a little bit scared when I was told that I’m cast opposite Mahesh Babu in this film because I knew I wasn’t that comfortable during the initial shooting time of ‘Dookudu’. Infact having his superstar image on mind, I was maintaining certain distance with him. But gradually the comfort level increased by the time ‘Dookudu’ got completed. So during the shootings of this film I found our rapport being consistant. Similarly I worked with Venkatesh garu for five days. He is very calm person just the way he appeared on the screen.”
“Chinmayee has equal number of fans as I do. So her fans would have been hurt if I had dubbed my voice in this film”, Samantha said about Chinmayee.
According to her, few of them have complained that the film got delayed due to non-adjustment of her call-sheets. However she explains that the delay is not due to her as she gave her 2 month call sheets to Maniratnam’s ‘Kadali’ for June and July months. But later she had to opt out that project due to her health problems at that time.
“My main principle is not to compare my success level with other heroines. I do not intend to take more remuneration nor do I wish to grab the opportunities or other heroines. I’m blessed and happy the way my career is shaping up. I’ll never allow the feeling of star image to enter my brain. There are many heroines who are beautiful than me and can even perform better than me. I’ve been successful so far only due to my pure luck of getting good roles. I would have surely missed this status had I settled down in any of the software engineering sector”, the young actress added.
“After completing each film, there has been many times that I felt like my performance should have been better than what I did. I even wished that I got the opportunity to correct my mistakes. Although I was not very happy with my performance ‘Ye Maya Chesave’, I’m 100% satisfied with my work in ‘Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu’”, Samantha commented about her performances.
“I’m afraid of thinking about awards because I can’t do justice to my profession when I keep that in my mind and choose my roles. Hence I try to keep such thoughts away and simply focus on the characters that I play”, she opined.
About her association with Siddharth and Nandini Reddy she said, “My next film is ‘Jabardasth’ opposite Siddharth. He has the ultimate knowledge on current affairs apart from movie knowledge. He became a good friend to me now. There is no religion greater than a good heart and humanity. Aside of her direction, Nandini Reddy is a good human.”
“I’ve signed four more films apart from VV Vinayak’s film. “I’ll let you know the details of all as they develop”, Samantha said about her future projects.
