Amita Rao is a fresh face who had launched her acting career with just released ‘Chemistry’ and is likely to star in many more due to her grace, charm and her attitude. Though not from a filmy background, Amita says that her passion towards acting has made her choose this path. Check out this exclusive interview where the bubbly heroine talks about her works in just released ‘Chemistry’.
Tell us about the journey to getting debuted in a film?
I have done my diploma in acting parallel to my graduation!! As soon as I completed it, I saw a post on Facebook saying they are in search of main lead. I came over to Hyderabad for audition and that’s when I got selected.
What was your inspiration for the film?
My passion towards acting! No inspiration :)
Can you tell us a little bit about the story of ‘Chemistry’ and your role in it?
My role is connected to this generation girls who get into love n that cuteness n a bit kiddish n immature!! Unlike guys, whose mentality doesn't change before and after marriage. When it comes to ‘Chemistry’, it's a full time entertainment and a feel good movie with 0% vulgarity. Very fresh and natural movie, 0%cinematic :) everyone can get connected to the characters :)
After the first day of shooting, how was your feeling?
I was satisfied! Because I was conscious about my Telugu, as it was a brand new language for me! But I could manage to give 1 take without missing out dialogues. That’s something which I’m really proud of :)
Tell us about your chemistry with hero Sriram Kodali?
He was good going and helped me translate Telugu to English so that I could understand the words and the feel in it. It was good working with him and he's a settled actor :) way to go Sree Ram :)
What do you think the audience will like most about ‘Chemistry’?
It's naturalistic making :) the Colors, the love and the cinematography by my bestie Chakradhar!! Elegant music and the best background score by Viswanath Ghantasala and the best feel with cute emotions which were shown by my director Vachespathy Jonnalagadda :) over all a fresh feel :)
How did you find your director and film crew?
The best crew ever I can find!! I had created a small family there. They never made me miss my own. I think that says everything :)
How comfortable is this production house?
Very comfortable!!
What are some of Amita’s favourite things to do?
Browsing net, gadget freak, big time foodie n pizza lover :) music is my life and acting 24/7 ;) lol :) singing n dancing are my favorites. Parties and Shopping is one thing which I can't resist.
What’s the bravest thing you have ever done in your life?
Haven't proved myself brave yet :P
What are some of your favourite films?
‘Kal Ho Na Ho’, ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Dil Chahtha Hai’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hotha Hai’, ‘Dookudu’, ‘Eega’ and lots more.
Do you have other projects in the works?
Have completed another movie as well! Can't reveal it now :)
