Arvind Krishna and Dimple Chopade starer 'Biskett' which was directed by Anil Gopireddy of 'Vaikuntapaali' fame is all set to arrive theaters on January 1st. Being a music director himself, he has taken in charge of music too. The film also completed its censor formality and received U/A certificate. As part of film's promotion Anil Gopireddy has a chit chat with the media in Thursday. Read on to know what he has said about his upcoming release 'Biskett'.
What is 'Biskett' about?
Biskett is a crime based romantic love story on 100% comedy backdrop. The audience will experience a different comedy in this film.
What made you choose the title 'Biskett'?
Of late the word 'Biskett' is commonly used as a term of offering Biskett to those to get our work done. Our film 'Biskett' defines the same meaning and not the food item as mentioned in a magazine. In our film the hero keeps offering bisketts to everyone but finally falls for someone else's Biskett. The rest of the film will tell how and when that happened.
Who was your target while choosing this concept?
The posters indicate that it's a youth based film. In fact we designed the posters in such a way only to grab the youth's attention. However, after watching the film we are confident that the youth will bring their family members to theaters. 'Biskett' is a clean film for the youth as well as the family audiences.
If that is so, then why it was given a U/A certificate?
There is a situation bound romantic song which is very important to the story. Crime begins only from that romantic song. We however shot that song very beautiful. There is no vulgarity anywhere in the film and no double meaning dialogues too. Cinematography is the main highlight. Naipaul Reddy is getting introduced as cameraman.
Can you mention some of the highlights in the film?
Producers of this film are basically the programmers in Cartoon Network and Pogo channels. So we used EFX quite efficiently. Vennela Kishore's comedy in first half and Thagubotu Ramesh's comedy in the second half will entertain the audience. Aali has 18 scenes in the film. All are full length characters in the film.
Okay! What is the role of hero and heroine in this film?
The hero works in a real estate company and the heroine is a PRO of a pub who's very stingy. How she traps the hero with her Biskett just before interval is the main concept. On the other hand, Arvind Krishna and Ajay belongs to one batch while Vennela Kishore and Bharat are from another. Aali is the intermediary between the two. His track is very interesting. It reminds the audience of Jandhya and EVV garu's films. Similarly it's close to 'Swamy Ra Ra' climax too. We shot the entire climax part in single shot for 3 hours 45 minutes. All 18 artists rendered wonderful cooperation.
Tell us a little about the producers of this film
Sravanthi and Raj are producers of this film. Sravanthi garu ensured that there are no double meaning dialogues in this film. She was very particular that the film be made in such a manner that the women too should enjoy it comfortably
Music appears to have scored good marks.
Yes! It's well known about today's audio market. At this juncture the Sarigama Audio Company gave us money in return and marketed it.
Why is the release so late?
Yes, I do agree that the film's release got very late despite the first copy being ready by August end. But during this gap we have edited and cut short the film by 15 minutes. So the run time of the film now is only 2 hours. And we are going to share the humor with the audience for this new year. I directed 'Vaikuntapaali' in the past and learnt my mistakes from it. I understood that there is no failure for comedy and did this film.
What is your next film?
My next is a Tamil film with a big hero. The story is on Bangkok backdrop.
