Director Kranthi Madhav, who made his debut though the film ‘Onamalu’, has delivered another poetic love story ‘Malli Malli Idi Raani Roju’. The film that features Sarvanand and Nithya Menon in the lead roles, was produced by KA Vallabha under CC Media and Entertainment Ltd. banner with prominent producer KS Ramarao as presenter. The film which was released on February 6, is running successfully with a hit talk. Kranthi Madhav talks about the success of the film. Here are the excerpts:
‘Malli Malli Idi Raani Roju’ became big success. How are you enjoying the film’s success? Have you expected this kind of response pre-release?
I’m very happy about the success. When I’m working on the script, I was very confident that I’ll taste success with this film. Because it’s an emotional love story and will definitely touches the hearts of our audience. Now, I’m receiving applause. I’m thankful to the audience for making the film a big success.
Young artists like Sarvanand and Nithya Menon played dad and mom roles respectively. Right?
Yes. After scoring success with ‘Run Raja Run’, Sarvanand did this film. Even though he is a young hero, Sarvanand accepted to do this because it’s a well-written role that made him say yes. In the same way, Nithya Menon. When I narrated the story, both the actors were impressed with the plot. They transformed into the characters and did perfect justice to their roles.
Sai Madhav’s dialogues in the film got good response. What was it like working with him?
Earlier, Sai Madhav has penned dialogues for ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ and ‘Gopala Gopala’. He received good applause for those films. Now, coming to ‘Malli Malli Idi Raani Roju’, it’s a cool love story. Love stories will reach the audience only if each and every element of the film is good. Hence, we worked on the dialogues for 2 months.
Music plays the key role for love stories. Tell us about Gopi Sundar’s music?
When I was working on the script, I wanted to rope in Gopi Sundar to compose music for this film. KS Ramarao is a man, who always been in forefront to encourage young talent. When I asked him about Gopi Sundar, he readily accepted. In the same way, Gopi Sundar also impressed by the script narrated by me and immediately given green signal for the project. He has provided excellent music and background score. Music is receiving superb response from the audience.
Do you have any idea of roping in Sarvanand and Nithya Menon for the lead roles when you were working on the script?
Actually, I have no idea about the lead roles. After developing the script, I felt that Sarvanand and Nithya Menon would perfectly apt to the story. I said to KS Ramarao. He too given green signal.
Tell us about producers’ support?
KS Ramarao needs no special introduction. You all know that Creative Commercials has delivered many wonderful films. And coming to this film, his support is unforgettable. In the same way, KA Vallabha also supported me a lot for the good outcome of the film.
Which type of films you like?
I like the films with good story. Audience will also encourage movies which have good story.
What are your next projects?
Right now, I’m enjoying the success. I’m working on 2 to 3 scripts. It is too early to announce my next projects.
