Young hero Naga Shaurya, who carved a special image for himself among the young heroes in the present generation by doing different films and who is tasting consecutive successes with the films like ‘Oohalu Gusagusalade’, ‘Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya’ and ‘Lakshmi Rave Maa Intiki’, is coming out with another film ‘Jadoogadu’ to entertain the audience ‘Chintakayala Ravi’ fame Yogesh is directing the film on Satya Entertainments banner with VVS Prasad as producer. Sonarika, who is known to the Telugu audience by playing Parvathi role in a TV serial ‘Hara Hara Mahadeva’, is being introduced as heroine through this film. The film is arriving theaters on June 26. On this occasion, Naga Shaurya talks to us. Here are the excerpts:
How would you describe ‘Jadoogadu’?
I played bank recovery agent named Krishna. So far I’ve acted in love entertainers. But my role in the film is totally away from all the roles which I’ve done earlier. My character in the film was designed in such a way that it will impress mass audience also. ‘Jadoogadu’ is a mass and comedy entertainer.
What is the reason behind to choose mass subject?
Many have asked me that why I am doing mass movie in this early stages. I usually accept films only if I trust the story. After listening to the story, I felt that it’s a new subject and accepted to act in this.
Can you tell us the highlights of the film?
The film will impress all sects of audience along with mass and class audience. The film goes on in an energetic mode before 40 mins of the climax. Sapthagiri’s comedy will definitely capture the audience. Climax will thrill the audience.
Tell us about your working experience with director Yogesh?
Yogesh has worked for this film after a long gap. He worked hard on the script. The film will have good comedy along with the mass elements.
About his co-star Sonarika he commented, “She has acted well. She played the role named Parvathi. Acting with her is very comfort.”
Tell us about your next upcoming projects?
I’m doing a film under Nandini Reddy’s direction. 70% shooting has been completed. I’m doing another film under Ramesh Varma’s direction. Shyam K Naidu is handling the camera, while Ilayaraja is composing the music for that project.
