Puri Jagannadh’s directorial venture Rogue is all set to hit theatres on March 31st. The director talks about his film and tells us more about Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 101st film.
Tell us about Rogue and why this delay?
Initial plan was to release the film in December, but later we postponed it to summer. Rogue is a special film and everyone has done a great job. The film is a youthful drama and the hero Ishan and villain Thakur Anoop Singh have done great job.
The film will release in Kannada and Telugu, was it difficult?
Not really. I did not find any difference, both the versions are similar.
You say the film is a youthful drama, will the family audience enjoy it?
Definitely. The film can be seen by entire family. As per the Censor Board’s suggestion, we have deleted some small bits.
Of late your films are not doing good?
Every film cannot become a hit. I never imagined that Pokiri will be such a huge hit. A film becoming hit or flop is not in our hands. Theory is different and practice is different thing.
Is Balayya’s 101st film a remake of Auto Jani? Will be play the role of a tapori? How true is the news that Sunny Leone will do an item number in this movie?
Balakrishna garu will not be playing a tapori, but will be acting as a gangster in this film. He will be seen in a different avtar and will not be doing a dual role. And the film is not Auto Jani, I have written the film. We are working on the title. Sunny Leone will be doing an item number in this movie.
You are yet to direct mega heroes?
Why mega heroes, I will direct the megastar himself.
