How was it working for Jai Lava Kusa?
I feel like I have worked in 100 films. Triple role was not easy. I felt like I had huge pressure on. It was hectic and this is the first time that I have done triple role.
How did you prepare for the negative role?
t was a lot of hard work. Even the smallest detail was worked on. For example how each character should behave and perform. Jai is a Ravana bhakt. This character even stammers. This made it easy for me. I have done lot of home work for this role. I finally cracked the role.
Looks like you are pretty confident about its success?
Collections do not matter to me anymore. I am looking forward to the audiences’ reaction. How will they receive these roles? I am not looking for praise, but I hope that they appreciate my sincere efforts.
Tell us about Jai Lava Kusa?
Like you all know it’s about three brothers and what happens to them. Jai’s character has negative shade and the film runs on his perspective. Of the three I liked this character a lot. But I have the traits of all three brothers.
Your dance moves are good?
The dance is as per the character and you will see it on the screen as well. I have done Shiva Tandavam for Jai’s character and loved every moment of it.
What kind of roles interest you?
I want roles that challenge me as an actor. It should provoke me to perform better. Stardom is uncertain, so whatever films I do must be unique. My roles should have scope of performance.
How was it working on the home banner?
Great experience for me. Kalyan Ram and I worked like a team. Sometimes I took some crucial discussions about the film. Sometime he did that. I do miss my brother Janaki Ram. He would have been proud today.
Bigg Boss, who do you think will win?
I am curious about the same. I have a favourite, but let me not tell you that. This show has helped me reach the audience. There is demand for the second season as well. I am hopeful that the first season will end successfully.
Will you be staring in Rajamouli’s Mahabharata?
If I am offered, then I will surely take it up. He is a good friend and I trust him completely. Let’s wait for Rajamouli to talk about this film.
