Anushka Shetty is upbeat ahead of the Amazon Prime release of 'Nishabdham' on October 2. Directed by Hemanth Madhukar, the Seattle-based thriller is being promoted by the 'Baahubali' actress with commitment. In her latest interview, the beautiful lady spoke of how the film happened to her, why she thinks it's a unique thriller and more.
How it all happened
After 'Bhaagamathie', I thought of staying away from work on purpose. When Kona Venkat garu narrated the story of 'Nishabdham' to me, I was spell bound. I was happy to be a part of Hemanth Madhukar's script, which has got a well-etched character for me.
Playing a mute painter
By now, everyone knows that I play a mute and deaf artiste named Sakshi in the thriller. It's this particular characterization that made me think of exploring it by essaying it on the celluloid. I prepared myself for the challenge for getting trained in sign language. Actually, after I learned that the international sign language is different, I retrained myself in the US. (For the unversed, the film was shot in Seattle for 55 days).
OTT versus Theatre
It's true that the theatrical experience is superior, especially when it comes to experiening sound. At the same time, we are living in new times, wherein OTT offers a technological option. We have to connect with the audience through OTT, as it is the only go. I am confident that the audience are going to love watching our movie on OTT.
Working with Maddy
I was paired up with Madhavan 14 years ago, when I was new in films. Working with him on 'Nishabdham' was an enjoyable experience. This being a thriller, it was a new feeling, especially because the very many characters in the story have a purpose. The story is a thrilling one.
Technical output
Gopi Sunder's music, Girrish Gopalakrishnan's background music and Shaneil Deo's cinematography will stand out. They will be major assets of 'Nishabdham'. The output, also thanks to the director, is terrific.
Teaming up with KFC, People Media Factory
Kona Venkat's Kona Film Corporation and TG Vishwa Prasad's People Media Factory are passionate when it comes to cinema. They have produced the film without compromises.
