'Sundari', starring Poorna and Arjun Ambati, will be released in theatres on August 13. Ahead of its release, its producer Rizwan has spoken to the media.
My journey in the film industry has been great. 'Sundari' was started out on a positive note. The output is really great. I never imagined that the output would be this special. After Poorna garu came on board, the output became better than expected. We have received UA certification from the CBFC. 'Sundari' has to be watched by the entire family.
'Sundari' is a lady-oriented movie. Director Kalyan G Gogana has done a superb job as a director in etching Sundari's journey. We had approached a few Bollywood actresses for the titular role. We realized that the story requires someone who can emote through expressions rather than dialogues. In keeping with the demands of the story, we chose Poorna garu.
The central plot point of 'Sundari' is quite interesting. I knew that director Kalyan would treat the subject in a distinct manner. With his vision, we were quite confident. You will see a lot of variations in Poorna garu's character. We have touched upon a unique subject.
We are confident that everyone will love our movie and its central message. The audience will be sucked into the world of 'Sundari'. The climax is going to be a major highlight. The film is bold and the director's treatment is apt. Suresh Bobbili's music is awesome and the BGM has enlivened the film.
OTT giants are buying out movies after watching them. But they are not paying as much as the producer's investment. They are not ready to pay even half of the budget. This is not convenient for small producers.
My next film is 'Super Machi', which is headlined by Kalyaan Dhev. We might release it this very month. The date is yet to be locked. We are planning a movie with actor Saptagiri in the lead. He is busy with other projects these days. The film might go on the floors in September. I am also going to produce two big movies. As a producer, they will take me to the next stage.
