'Ravana Lanka' is all set to be released in theatres on November 19. In this interview, actor-producer Krish Bandipally talks about the movie, his background, what he believes in, and more.
I come from a real estate background. I am passionate about movies. I started out as a TV serial actor. After my TV stint, I ventured into movies. I realized that I have to do a lavish movie to garner attention. Big names such as Chiranjeevi garu, Pawan Kalyan garu and Jr NTR garu are my inspiration.
'Ravana Lanka' has got a heavy subject. Besides doing a lead role, I have also produced the movie. As the trailer shows, I have spent a bomb on making the movie. Besides shooting in Malaysia, within India, we have shot the film in locations as diverse as Kashmir, Simla, Goa, and Hyderabad. At Ameerpet's Sarathi Studios, we canned a number of scenes. A huge set was erected at another studio because the subject demanded it.
Director BNS Raju has wielded the megaphone. These days, no matter how big your filmmaker is, if the content is not good, the audience are not going to watch your movie. I picked Raju because he is a worthy technician.
Murali Sharma, Dev Gill, and 'Racha' Ravi have played interesting roles. Thanks to the title, our film has gained a great amount of buzz. It's a pan-India title and my movie is the most recommended one among this week's releases on BookMyShow. I am aware that nine movies are arriving at the cinemas this week. If you have watched the trailer, you would realize that our film has got the stamina to withstand.
I may sound over-confident but I am sure that 'Ravana Lanka' is going to be a sure-shot hit. I am thankful that no major release is coming out this week. The content in our movie is so strong that it is going to give a strong competition.
The film is a racy crime thriller that has no lag. The heroine, who has worked in Bollywood before, was very cooperative. The cinematographer has given excellent output.
When I started out in movies, I didn't know anybody. Today, one and a half years later, I have got the support of many. Manchu Vishnu garu, despite his busy schedule, unveiled the trailer for our movie. Minister Harish Rao garu, despite the pandemic, released the teaser. Harish Shankar garu tweeted out a song from our movie. The pre-release event, held the other day, was a success.

'Ravana Lanka' is a mixture of ingredients such as thrill, romance, suspense, family entertainment, and comedy. In making the movie, we took a lot of risks. We shot in the risky terrain in Rohtang Pass in Himachal Pradesh. We went to Bangkok for just a shot. When I instituted K Series Movie Factory, it was with the intention of making films with the best production values.
After the release of our movie, everyone is going to talk about it. I want to keep doing important movies like this one.
