'Commitment', starring Tejaswi Madivada and others, is directed by Lakshmikanth Chenna. The film is hitting the cinemas on Aug 19. Also starring Ramya Pasupuleti, Simar Singh and Anveshi Jain, the anthology has got Abhay Simha Reddy of 'Crrush' fame in a key role. In this interview, Abhay talks about his character, doing 'Commitment with a talented team, and more.
My father Satish Reddy has been a producer and director. I grew up watching him and got interested in films.
Although 'Commitment' is the first movie I had signed up to do, 'Crussh', directed by Ravi Babu, got released first. It fetched me a good name in the industry. The delay in the release of 'Commitment' is because of the pandemic.
'Commitment' is an anthology and is a collection of four stories. I am part of a cute love story that highlights the issues faced by today's youngsters. Those in a relationship will surely relate to the drama. Since the different stories touch upon real issues affecting women from different walks of life, I would say that every girl/woman must watch 'Commitment'.
Although there are bold scenes in our film, they are driven by content. They are important and that's why this is not an obscene film. Adult content is not what 'Commitment' is about. It's about emotions. Even the dialogues between different characters are slice-of-life.
I want to try all genres as an actor. I am doing a web series produced by BVS Ravi. The likes of Priyamani and Sanjay Suri are part of it. I am also doing a commercial feature film.
