Tina Shilparaj is the new Telugu-speaking actress in the town. She started out a couple of years back and quickly bagged the Aha Video web series 'The Baker And The Beauty'. Next up, the budding starlet will be seen as Suhas' love interest in the wholesome family entertainer 'Writer Padmabhushan'.
The actress hails from Hyderabad. It was through the costumer of 'Writer Padmabhushan' that she bagged the heroine's role in the movie, which hits the cinemas on February 3.
"It's a film everyone must watch. I am sure that its content will be remembered for a long time," Tina says, talking about the Shanmukha Prasanth directorial. "Sarika is the name of my character. She is a Vijayawada girl and the story is set in that city. And Sarika is a crucial character etched beautifully by the director," Tina says, adding that the film has got emotions, comedy and other ingredients.
She appreciates the vision of the director, saying that he is a storyteller with clarity of thought. Chai Bisket Films, which has bankrolled the film, is a banner that encourages new talents. "They are very happening in the Telugu pop culture scene. I am glad that my feature film debut is with such a banner," Tina says.
She adds that doing 'Writer Padmabhushan' has been a great journey. "As an actor, knowing oneself is not easy. We have to be mindful of our strengths and weaknesses. We have to constantly work on our misses and hone our skills. As a learning curve, doing this film has been great," Tina says.
The film features Suhas in the role of a comical novelist. Tina describes the actor as an amazing talent. "I liked his 'Colour Photo'. It feels special to get introduced in a film starring him as the male lead," Tina adds.
The film stars Rohini and Asish Vidyarthi as the male lead's parents. "Working with them will be a memorable experience. I have grown up watching them. And acting alongside them was a great feeling," she adds.
The film's premiers have been getting an amazing response. "The other day, the Vijayawada premieres moved me to tears. The hall was full. And we had to watch the movie standing on the stage. The audience connected with the emotions solidly," Tina says.
The film's Hyderabad premieres, which are paid, will be held on February 2. The film releases worldwide on February 3.
