'Sound Party' has me delivering a sucker punch: Hrithika Srinivas

Ahead of the release of 'Sound Party', which is led by Bigg Boss Telugu 5 title winner VJ Sunny, fledgling actress Hrithika Srinivas has something interesting to share. She reveals that her character unleashes a twist somewhere in the comedy entertainer, which has Sivannarayana of 'Amrutham' fame as a funny father. Produced by Full Moon Media Productions' Ravi Polishetty, Mahendra Gajendra, and Sri Shyam Gajendra, the comedy is presented by Jaya Shankar. In this interview, catch the 'Allantha Doorana' actress talking about her inclination towards acting, her bonding with her aunt Amani (of 'Subhalagnam' fame), what she is looking forward to, and more. The film will be released in theatres on November 24.

I am an undergraduate studying English Literature. As someone who acted in a couple of Tamil films as a child artist, I have always been drawn to this profession. When I was sixteen, I told my elders that I would like to be a professional actress. My aunt, Amani garu, advised me to make up my mind for the rough terrain ahead. I have been mentally prepared to encounter challenges here in the film industry. I am not a trained actor, but having learned Bharatnatyam as a discipline, I am well-versed in what it takes to emote the nine emotions.

Siri, my character in 'Sound Party', is fun-loving but she does hold something in her persona. She is smart and delivers a sucker punch much like MS Dhoni used to as a striking batter. It is like a sixer that changes the game. I am a different person in real life and I am so unlike Siri. While Siri is serious, the situations she puts herself in are serious.

Bitcoin is a new phenomenon in the financial world. 'Sound Party' explores a plot point in which Bitcoins play a major role. Sivannarayana garu and Sunny are playing a father and son, respectively. Their scenes are a laugh riot. Director Sanjay Sheri is the kind of filmmaker who enjoys the making stage. I have known Sunny as a celebrity thanks to his years-long association with Television. He was genuine and authentic on Bigg Boss Telugu. He is much the same in real life as well.

I am personally inclined to like Sai Pallavi garu's acting, dances and screen presence. Among male actors, my vote goes to Nani. He is so naturalistic.

I want to be a full-time actor. I made this decision even as a student. My family told me to be up for the challenges ahead. I know it is not going to be easy.

I am doing films in both Kannada and Telugu. 'Inkevaru' opposite Sriram Srikanth is one of the projects. In Kannada, I am doing a film titled 'Out Of Syllabus'.
