‘Vijetha’ starring Tarakaratna and Swetha Basu Prasad was launched this morning at Film Nagar in Hyderabad. Tammareddy Bhadradwaja tapped the clap board, T Prasanna Kumar switched on the camera and Sagar directed the first shot. V Doraswamy Raju will produce the film under VMC Combines with P Udaya Bhaskar as its director.

In the press meet Tarakaratna said, “For the first time I am doing a soft character in this film. This subject will be different in my career. It will be a full-fledged family entertainer.”

Swetha Basu Prasad said, “Vijetha is my first film with Tarakaratna. I’m called as Janaki in this film. My character is very cute and bubbly. I thank my director and producer for this wonderful opportunity.”

Director Udaya Bhaskar is very confident about the film and says that the film would get good recognition to Tarakaratna.

Producer Doraswamy Raju said, “For the first time we are making a social film which the entire family can watch together. ‘Vijetha’ will be on par with our earlier films.”

Executive Producer Thummalapalli Ramasatya Narayana said, “This is our next film after ‘Vasavi Vaibhavam’. The regular shooting will begin shortly. We are planning to shoot the songs in Bangkok and Araku. The recording of songs has been completed. Arjun rendered excellent music.”
