Music director Koti gets the Life Time Achievement award in the recently held Radio Mirchi Music Awards South – 2011. After receiving the prestigious award in the grand function where celebrities and technicians attended from all four south Indian film industries, Koti addressed the gathering. He said, “Well, with the love and support from audiences and the encouragement given by the film industry, I’ve come up to this level. I’m yet to achieve a lot. However, Raj and I worked together for many films. Hence this award belongs to him also. I’m very happy to receive this prestigious award.”
Nagarjuna said, “I started listening to Koti’s songs even before I entered the film industry. I like his songs very much, especially the song ‘Priya Ragale…’ from ‘Hello Brother’.”
Sri Ramarajyam swept the show with 7 awards in prominent categories – Best Playback Singer (Male) – S P Balasubrahmaniam, Best Play-back singer(Female) – Shreya Ghosal, Best Lyricist – Jonnavittula, Most Popular Song - ;Jagadananda Taraka…’, etc. Thaman won the award for ‘Dookudu’ in the category of Best Commercial Film award.
