Gone is the time when auditions of actresses determined which actress will be in a film. Now their social media hype will determine if they are fit for the film or not.
Kiara Advani who played a role in Dhoni was considered for the lead role opposite Mahesh. Her PR also put in plugs everywhere saying the actress had signed the film. Reality however is different.
An insider shares, "Its true Kiara was considered for the role. The original choice was Shraddha Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. But they quoted a very high price. The makers want someone who is cute and has a fresh face and a good fan following in Bollywood. Disha Patni and Adah Sharma are the next choices. Both have expressed interest in the role. It is under wraps but the character is required to be a good dancer too and both of them are god dancers. Disha being the girlfriend of Tiger Shroff is always in the news and after Commando2 Adah Sharma is also very popular among the youth. When Disha posts a photo or video on social media it goes viral immediately and the same with Adah. They both also have more than a million plus fan following on their Facebook pages and countless fan pages dedicated to them. Kiara is not very popular with the audience yet."
