Rana's mother Lakshmi Daggubati donated her kidney to her son. Currently Rana is out of danger and is recuperating in Chicago. The entire Daggubati family was present.
Medical sources say that the actor will need rest for a month. His next film is Virata Parvam in which he is paired with Sai Pallavi. Venu Udugula is directing this film.
