The Father of our Nation- Mahatma Gandhi whose life is touted to be an ideal one, used to sing a song as a part of his daily routine. The song which goes with the lyrics 'Vaishnava Januvude Neeve Ayithe (వైష్ణవ జనుడవు నీవే అయితే)' in Telugu was quite famous during the time Mahatma Gandhi lived.
A poet named Narasimha Mehta had penned the lyrics of this song in the Avad language in the 14th Century. It is believed that this song is to be heard at every place where Mahatma Gandhi used to visit.
