Nikhil Siddhartha, who has been helping needy covid patients in different ways, has raised his voice against private hospitals resorting to excessive charges for the treatment. The 'Arjun Suravaram' actor said that a lot of bills are breaching the Rs 10-lakh mark.
Taking to Twitter, the 'Kirrak Party' star asked why local hospitals are charging such huge amounts for basic operations/surgeries.
Saying that his team is helping with the payment of a few bills, Nikhil added that a lot of amounts is going in honouring the ridiculously high bills. The '18 Pages' actor asked who is regulating the hospitals.
In the recent past, many private hospitals in Telangana have received legal notices for not adhering to guidelines on charging covid patients.
