The World Wildlife Fund India has made Upasana Kamineni Kondinela the Ambassador of Forest Frontline Heroes (India). The renowned businesswoman, who is the Vice-Chairperson CSR of Apollo Hospitals and the founder of URLife, is the wife of popular actor Ram Charan.
In a note, WWF India said that Upasana has helped protect forest guards, wildlife and forest areas across the country.
Upasana said that she feels humbled and grateful on becoming the ambassador. In a statement, she said that the forest field staff often work in extreme conditions day in and day out. Sometimes, they walk up to 15-20 km a day to patrol the forests. Upasana has committed to support and draw attention towards the people who work for wildlife conservation.
