Sonu Sood has played a critical role in saving 22 precious lives of Covid-19 patients during an emergency at ARAK Hospital in Bengaluru. The incident happened on Tuesday night.
When Oxygen at the hospital was almost finished, 22 patients were at extreme risk. This is when, upon a call from a cop, the actor told his volunteers to arrange 16 cylinders. The SOS came after two patients succumbed to the virus for want of oxygen.
But for the Sonu Sood Charity Foundation, the lives of 22 patients would have been at risk. "The team spent the entire night not thinking about anything else but just helping the hospital get oxygen cylinders. Had there been any delay, many families would have lost their close ones," the actor said.
Actor R Madhavan lauded the heroic efforts of Sonu's team.
