The pre-release event of 'Oka Chinna Family Story', starring Sangeeth Shoban and Simran Sharma, was held on Friday with Varun Tej as the chief guest. The ZEE5 web series, set to stream from November 19, has Mega Daughter Niharika Konidela as the producer. Directed by Mahesh Uppala, it is a family entertainer.
Speaking on the occasion, the 'Ghani' actor said that he has always been observant of his sister's works. About the series, the 'F3' actor exuded confidence that it will be a special one. "When I recently watched its trailer, I was really impressed. Sangeeth has acted like an experienced actor. I have known his brother, Santosh, but this is the first time that I have seen Sangeeth," the young actor said.
Niharika Konidela thanked VK Naresh, Tulasi and Rajeev Kanakala for being a part of the project. The web series has the trio in important roles, with the first two playing Sangeeth's parents.
The story of the series revolves around a father who leaves a debt of Rs 25 lakh for his son to clear. Niharika said that the story is so realistic that she wondered if writer-director Mahesh drew its scenes from his own life. The actress has produced the series on Pink Elephant Entertainment. She also spoke of her association with ZEE5.
