'2.0' fame Lyca Productions, the biggest banner in the Tamil film industry, has announced its Telugu-language debut. After producing several notable movies in Tamil, Lyca is now all set to produce its first Telugu movie.
A bilingual to be released for a pan-India audience, it will be a family entertainer that is also a thriller. Aishwaryaa R Dhanush, Rajinikanth's daughter, is its director. The makers are yet to announce the cast and crew details.
"We are thrilled to make a Tollywood debut. We are already making a Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar's 'Ram Setu'. 'Good Luck Jerry' in Hindi is our other Bollywood project," presenters SubasKaran and Mahaveer Jain today said.
For the director, this is her third movie, the first two being Dhanush's '3' (known for the 'Kolaveri Di' song) and 'Vai Raja Vai' Aashish Singh, CEO of Lyca Productions, said, "We are thrilled to have Aishwaryaa on board to direct our first Telugu production. We are confident that this film will captivate and entertain audiences across the country.”
