This is when Superstar Krishna, who breathed his last today, stuck to SPB. The actor insisted that only SPB must sing for him. His decision paid off, as Krishna's songs used to sound more lively, thanks to Balu's inimitable voice.
In an interview, SPB once revealed that Krishna made a request to him at that time. "When other heroes like NTR garu and ANR garu were preferring Ramakrishna garu, Krishna garu wanted me to sing for his movies. He once called me and assured me that he won't change his preference. But he made a polite request to me. He asked me not to sing for comedians when I was singing for him. His request was understandable. He felt that his image would take a beating if someone who sang for comedians sang for him. I didn't obey his request. Yet, he didn't utter a word against me. He was a big star who could have ordered me to listen to him. But he didn't do that," SPB said.
