Rajendra Prasad and Archana have joined hands for a film titled 'Shashtipoorti'. A family drama, the film is produced by Rupesh Kumar Chowdhary and helmed by Pravan Prabha. Its launch event was attended by producer and Super Good Films' supremo RB Chaudhary. Legendary music director Ilayaraaja was also present.
The film stars Rupesh Kumar as the male lead, while Akanksha Singh of 'Clap' fame is his heroine. The 'Nata Kireeti' will be seen in a prominent role, while Archana, 'Kantara' fame Achyut Kumar (who played the landlord's role), Y Vijaya, Subhalekha Sudhakar and others are part of the cast.
The Maestro, who recently composed music for 'Rangamarthanda', is on board. Scheduled to be released in theatres in July, the film will go on the floors soon.
Shot by Rami Reddy, 'Shashtipoorti' is edited by Karthika Srinivas. With art direction by Thota Tarani, the film has got lyrics written by Chaitanya Prasad and Rahman. The dance choreography is by Vrinda, while the costumes are designed by Ayesha Maria.
