Maestro Ilaiyaraaja's concert in Hyderabad on Sunday was a roaring hit. Hundreds of music lovers were immersed in the joy of experiencing the live-in concert, which saw the legendary composer perform thirty-five of his timeless classics. In terms of precision and avoiding hiccups, he proved his masterfulness yet again.

Singer Karthik began the concert by singing 'Om Shivoham'. Later, as the program progressed, the music lovers were in for a treat as 'Mate Mantramu' and 'Kalaya Nijama' and other classics were performed. The concert couldn't have been complete without senior singers Mano and SP Charan making the evening memorable. While the void left by SP Balu is impossible to be filled, the singers at the concert tried their best to make the evening an immersive experience.

Vibhavari, Swetha, Sunitha, Shirisha and Anita were among the female singers who were present. The emotional music made for a peerless experience, thanks to their talent.

The evening was not just about music but also about knowledge-sharing by the master himself. He explained the effort that goes into recording a song by offering 'gyan' on an interlude of the timeless 'O Priya Priya' from 'Githanjali'.

A special feature involved Devi Sri Prasad. The Rock Star, who admires the Maestro's immense talent, was in for some merry-making. He danced to 'Jagada Jagada Jagadam'. Later, a tribute was paid to K Viswanath's classics. The Kala Tapasvi passed away recently.

Natural Star Nani, star director Harish Shankar, 'Uppena' maker Buchi Babu Sana, Manchu Lakshmi, Esha Rebba, Varsha Bollamma and others were also present.
