Producers Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni of Arka Media Works have reportedly teamed up with Rana Daggubati for a film to be helmed by a debutant filmmaker. MM Keeravani, who is currently working on films like 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu', is going to set the tunes for this yet-to-be-launched movie.
In recent years, Arka Media Works has undertaken only small-scale movies. 'Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya' is the banner's more recent film, streaming on Netflix. Earlier, the banner made the acclaimed 'Vedam' and the commercially successful 'Maryada Ramanna'. After Pawan Kalyan's 'Panjaa' in 2011, the producers focused their energies on the 'Baahubali' movies, which kept their resources occupied for years.
As for Rana, he was recently roped in for Rajinikanth's 170th movie, directed by TJ Gnanavel of 'Jai Bhim' fame. This week's release, 'Keedaa Cola', has been presented by him. The film is doing very well in the US and Hyderabad.
