Over the past few days, a particular video has gone viral. In the video, we see someone who looks exactly like Rashmika Mandanna rushing out of a lift and saying 'Hi' to a few unseen individuals. The woman in the video is seen wearing a revealing outfit. It was revealed to be an AI-enabled 'deepfake' video.

On Monday, after a Union Minister and the film industry stalwart Amitabh Bachchan drew everyone's attention to the 'deepfake' video, the 'Pushpa' actress took to social media, writing that she had been hurt by the video. "I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused," the 'Animal' actress wrote.

The star actress added that it would have been unimaginable had something of this sort happened to her when she was in school or college. "We need to address this as a community and with urgency before more of us are affected by such identity theft," the 'Rainbow' actress wrote, tagging the Cyberabad Police and the Maharashtra Cyber department on Twitter.
