It is known that Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been undergoing treatment for Myositis. On Tuesday, she revealed that consuming steroids as part of the treatment has affected the health of her skin.
"My skin is absolutely not glowing. I am using a filter (during this video interaction with fans). I had to be on so much of steroids. I actually had to do a lot of steroid shots. So, it really, really messed up my skin, gave me a lot of pigmentation," the 'Kushi' actress revealed to a fan who asked her about the secret of her clear skin.
Steroids are prescribed by several specialists for auto-immune disorders. They most likely result in side effects. It takes months or even years for pigmentation to go away.
Samantha was diagnosed with Myositis in 2021.
