'Devara', set to hit theaters worldwide on September 27, promises to be Koratala Siva's biggest spectacle to date. On Friday, on the occasion of Saif Ali Khan's birthday, a Glimpse video was released by NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts.
Usually, antagonists in mass movies hardly have a screen presence beyond the hero's physical existence. In 'Devara', though, Bhaira seems to have a setting of his own, a mini world where he rules the roost and where his physicality is not generic. Bhaira is not into shouting and screaming. He is like a clan leader whose guts are worthy of admiration. Anirudh Ravichander might have a separate beat dedicated to this character.
So far, two songs from the movie have been released. They are titled 'Fear Song' and 'Chuttamalle'. The latter, shot on the film's lead pair (read Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor), has clocked more than 100 million views already.
The Jr NTR-starrer, produced by NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, has cinematography by Rathnavelu. 'Devara' also features Janhvi Kapoor, Srikanth, Prakash Raj and several others. Saif Ali Khan as Bhaira will be feared by all, the makers suggest.
