The film has set a new record in the Nizam region by collecting a staggering Rs 25 crore share on its first day. In Hindi, too, it is at No. 1 (Indian box office Nett. terms), overtaking SRK's 'Jawan' by a whisker.
On Thursday, the Allu Arjun movie has also made history by selling over 1 lakh tickets on the BMS platform in a single hour.
The film is on a rampage overseas as well. It has crossed the one-million-dollar mark in Australia in just one and half days, and it has recorded the second-biggest opening day for any Indian film in the UK.
The sequel, in North America, grossed $1 million from 683 locations by Thursday night for Day 1. With this, 'Pushpa 2' surpassed Allu Arjun's previous highest figure of $3.6M (achieved by 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo') from premiere collections and Thursday advance sales.
