In Tollywood, it is unpopular to say even obvious things. Picking Anasuya Bharadwaj and Neha Shetty for special songs in two of Pawan Kalyan's upcoming films is one such.
Anasuya and PK have jived for a special song in 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu', an alleged wonderful epic saga. Sorry but what is the point? Anasuya has no image of being a siren (like a Sreeleela) or a charmer (like a Samantha).
Neha Shetty of 'DJ Tillu' fame is reportedly doing a special song in 'OG'. While she is not dancing alongside PK, she is still not the right choice for a film headlined by the Deputy CM of a state. She is yet to outgrow the image bestowed on her by her most popular movie. Director Sujeeth and DVV Entertainments should have picked a Shraddha Kapoor (assuming she would be willing) or some of a similar stature.
'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' will hit the cinemas on March 28, 2025. 'OG', co-starring Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Mohan, Prakash Raj and others, is yet to lock its release date.
