Actor Prabhas' Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire was released on this day (December 22nd) last year. Grossing almost Rs 700 crores at the worldwide box office, it has also been a humongous OTT blockbuster. The Prashanth Neel-directed action drama has trended non-stop for 300 days straight on Disney Plus Hotstar. This is a record-setting run.
Also starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan, the movie is produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films. After the KGF movies, this Prabhas-starrer remains the biggest money-spinner for the banner.
Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, Bobby Simha, John Vijay, Tinnu Anand, Brahmaji, Ramachandra Raju, Mime Gopi, Jhansi, Easwari Rao and many others are part of the cast. Ravi Basrur and Bhuvan Gowda are the music director and cinematographer, respectively.
As is known, the film is a two-part action spectacle. Titled Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryanga Parvam, the second part's production is underway. In a recent interview, director Neel stated that the second part will be intelligent in terms of writing. Its plotting is going to be way better than the first part. The power dynamics in the Khansaar City will reach a crescendo.
