"By the end of the first half, you are going to tell me that Daaku Maharaaj is better than both Akhanda and Legend," producer S Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments today stated. Balakrishna's action entertainer will head to theatres on January 12, 2025. The massive release is co-produced by Fortune Four Cinemas.
Ahead of the Sankranthi release, a series of promotional events have been planned. Come January 2, the Trailer will be released at a Hyderabad event, followed by a song release event in the US (two days later) and a grand pre-release event in Andhra Pradesh on January 8.
"Beyond the powerful emotions and intense characters that Balakrishna garu embodies, 'Daaku Maharaaj' offers something truly special: a mass song that will electrify audiences in theaters. The immense popularity gained from 'Unstoppable' (the talk show) has expanded his fan base to include even the youngest viewers. We have meticulously crafted 'Daaku Maharaaj' with careful consideration for every aspect, including his significant following in the US market," director Bobby Kolli said today. The director said that Balayya's fans will be overwhelmed with warm affection towards him much like Chiranjeevi's fans after 'Waltair Veerayya'.
Co-starring Bobby Deol and Shraddha Srinath, the film involves a child sentiment angle. "Ever since I embarked on my film career, it has been an enduring dream of mine to collaborate with Balakrishna garu. In my 25 years in this industry, no other film has portrayed him in the manner we have achieved in our film," the producer asserted. As a fan of Balayya, he wants to deliver a memorable hit.
The words of the director-producer duo were unambiguously confident. Given that the Sankranthi release is coming out amid so much hype, will the makers opt for ticket rate hikes? What about the Telangana government's decision not to give hikes? S Naga Vamsi suggested that decisions will be taken in consultation with Dil Raju, the new TFDC Chairman.
