Ram Charan's 16th movie is set in the Uttarandhra region. Director Buchi Babu Sana has embarked on a talent-hunting spree to spot new acting talent from the region. Aspiring actors from Vizianagaram, Salur, Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam will audition this month. Some of them will make it to the cast of the coveted pan-Indian movie.
The project, produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Vriddhi Cinemas, was announced about two years ago. One wonders why the talent hunt couldn't be completed by now. The 'Uppena' director might have wanted to catch them fresh just ahead of the film's shoot. A delay in the shoot might have resulted in some of the finalized candidates failing to appear for shoot due to unavoidable reasons.
With music by AR Rahman, the untitled period sports drama might feature a non-Telugu superstar. The film will hit the cinemas in 2025.
