'Janaka Aithe Ganaka': Second half can make or break this small film

'Janaka Aithe Ganaka', starring Suhas in the lead, is Dil Raju Productions' next release. The young banner tasted a Hemorrhaging flop in the form of 'Love Me: If You Dare', recently. It appeared to stumble in the dark after 'Balagam'.

Suhas' movie offers producers Harshith Reddy and Hanshitha a chance to redeem their young banner. The film has Suhas as a humble middle-class man who overthinks (by Indian social standards). While conservative Indians maximize their child count, Suhas in 'Janaka Aithe Ganaka' is diametrically opposite: he wants to refrain from procreation unless he is financially well-off.

Small films tend to have little creativity in Telugu. Films like 'Balagam', 'Care Of Kancharapalem', 'Middle Class Melodies', and 'Raja Vaaru Rani Vaaru' are exceptions, not the norm. 'Janaka Aithe Ganaka' will be put to the test in the second half. The first half typically goes into setting up the male lead's character, his middle-class persuasions and his family (including his irate father). It is the second half that will be the real deal. Will the protagonist find a resolution in court? Rajendra Prasad plays a judge. Is the court hearing a petition concerning the sky-high cost of education in 21st-century India? This idea can lead to inferior scenes if not dealt with in practical terms. One hopes the film's climax is not simplistic.
